COVID-19 May 27th Response

Effective May 27th

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We look forward to worshipping together as a body at First Baptist Church. We have put together a re-opening plan that we feel errors on the side of caution. We will evaluate this plan each week and make modifications as necessary. Bear with us, this is new and unchartered territory for all of us.

If you are sick or someone in your household is sick, we ask you to take advantage of the online service and rejoin the fellowship when the sickness has passed.

If you are uncomfortable gathering, we respect your decision and ask that you watch online. The service will be available Sunday evening. A deacon will check in with you.

To give more space, we are offering two identical services at 9:00 and 10:45am. Childcare will only be provided at the 10:45 service. For now, there will be no Sunday School. The church will be cleaned between services. Hand sanitizer stations will be at each entrance and you are encouraged to bring your own.

We ask that you refrain from physical contact (hugging, hand shaking) and socially distance, as appropriate. Seating will be available in every third row on each side (1, 4, 7, ...) for the first service and (2, 5, 8, ...) for the second service. The closed rows will be taped off. Families or individuals can take a seat on each end of an open row and work toward the middle. Larger families, you may take the entire row. It may be necessary for ushers to guide seating to provide spacing.

After the first service, we ask that you leave the church building so it can be cleaned and the 10:45 crowd can enter. Fellowship can take place outside.

Any sneezes or coughs should be directed toward your elbow. You are welcome to wear a mask. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and as always if you have any questions or concerns- please notify us.
